Rose Lin embodies the determination and grit of a typical ate (elder sister) who takes charge of responsibilities both inside and outside the home. Born into a family that valued hard work, she has shown that success is not just for students with perfect grades; it is also for those who overcome challenges to find their own path to excel. Even though her parents had no means to send her to college, she worked her way to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Management Accounting at the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City through a track and field scholarship. The opportunity she received only proves that a good education should also be available to those who may not excel academically but have the determination and resilience to persist.

She carried this value with her to District 5, Quezon City, where she currently resides. There, she made it a point to encourage people not just to wait for help but to hone their skills and find dignity in standing on their own—a move that earned her the love and admiration of thousands; thus the moniker Ate Rose Lin - Ang Ate ng Distrito Singko.
